Chilled water pipes get corroded internally resulting in leakages. Uneven
deposits of chemicals can increase the rate of corrosion.

BacComber®'s chemical free treatment protects the steel surface by
forming a layer of Magnetite. This layer sticks to the steel surface. It does
not peel off and is not porous like normal red rust. Once BacComber® is
installed there is no consumable needed, you can fit-and-forget. It protects
the steel 24 hours with micro-processors.
Application: Chilled Water System
Chilled water is brownish in colour due to corrosion. The change in the colour of chilled water from brown to
clear proves that BacComber® has effectively keep corrosion under control. Fe ion content, which is an
indicator of the corrosion, can be brought down to very low levels. In some cases it has been controlled
from over 100 ppm to less than 1 ppm over a period of few months and the colour from dark brown to clear
water.
